Abstract Submission
The 2028 E&E Congress will feature an outstanding technical program bringing together engineers, researchers, road authorities, contractors, industry representatives, policymakers and academics to exchange knowledge, present the latest innovations and discuss the future of road infrastructure.
On behalf of the 2028 E&E Congress Technical Program Committee, we are inviting you to submit your work to be presented at the 9th E&E Congress in Madrid, Spain.
All abstracts must be submitted online through the abstract submission system until February 2, 2027 — 23:59 CET

Abstracts must be submitted online through the official abstract submission portal (accessed by clicking on the button above). Other methods of submission will not be accepted.
All abstracts must be written and submitted in English, the official language of the Congress.
Submitted abstracts must be original. Abstracts previously published or presented at another scientific meeting should not be submitted.
The corresponding author's name and e-mail address will be used for all communications relating to the submitted abstract.
The corresponding author should ensure that all co-authors are aware of and agree with the content before submission.
Always make sure to check the final abstract with the system's preview function before submission, and edit or replace as necessary. It is the author's responsibility to submit a correct abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author.
Authors are encouraged, where relevant, to relate the technological aspects of their work to the socio-economic benefits for society.
Abstract Preparation
01Abstract title
Keep the title brief and make sure it clearly indicates the nature of the investigation. Use a capital letter for the first letter of the title only; do not capitalize every word.
02Abstract category
Select the category that best aligns with the submission. Please click here to view the available categories. The organisers may re-allocate the abstract to another category where appropriate.
03Presentation preference
Choose your preferred method of presentation (oral or poster). After the abstract review, the organisers will inform the corresponding author whether the abstract was accepted, which will be followed by paper submission.
04Authors
Enter each author in the designated author fields. Do not include degrees or professional titles. Provide the requested affiliation and e-mail information in the relevant system fields. Indicate the corresponding author.
05Abstract body
The abstract should be approximately 200 words and submitted as plain text.
06Tables and figures
Tables and figures are not allowed for abstracts.
Submission Process

Complete all required fields in the online submission form.

After submission, the submitting author should receive an automatic confirmation by e-mail. If no confirmation is received within 24 hours, please check the spam/junk folder and then contact the abstract support address.

The submitting author may access and edit a submitted abstract, or submit an additional abstract, until the submission deadline.

All correspondence concerning the abstract will be sent to the e-mail address of the corresponding author.

Before final submission, use the system preview function to check the complete abstract carefully. The author is responsible for the accuracy of the submitted content, including spelling, grammar and scientific information.
Paper Submission
Accepted abstracts will be invited for paper submission, which will open by 28 February 2027. Accepted papers will be published as full papers on Scientific.net.
